1) What change were you wanting to make when you started Carbon?

I wanted to lose weight and get in shape. I have been overweight for my entire adult life, and my relationship with dieting was basically going on a deprivation diet whenever my already oversized clothes stopped fitting. It never got me quite where I needed to be and always left me feeling demoralized and frustrated.

2) What struggles did you encounter as you were working through those changes?

Every time I attempted a diet, the restrictions eventually became unbearable. I would spend weeks or months cutting out everything I enjoyed, only to eventually hit a wall. By the time the diet was over, I was mentally drained and sick of feeling deprived. I immediately went back to my old eating habits because I never learned how to enjoy food in moderation. There was no structure for how to transition back to normal life, so all the progress I worked so hard for slipped away. I always felt like I had failed, but in reality the problem was the approach itself.

3) What was different about Carbon?

Carbon gave me agency. Before using the app, I did not have the tools to enjoy food and drink while losing weight. Most diets I had tried were built around the idea that if you simply stop eating, you will get there. But Carbon is different. It gave me structure, allowances, and flexibility, which I realized are the true markers of a high-quality diet. It helped me make progress without feeling punished.

4) Tell us about the moment you realized Carbon was fundamental in solving your problem.

That flexibility gave me peace of mind and prevented the all-or-nothing mindset that had always derailed me. For the first time, I felt in control of my choices rather than controlled by a diet. 5) Tell us what life looks like now that you are finding success with Carbon.

I feel so much better now. My energy is more stable, and I no longer experience the uncomfortable crashes I used to get from something as simple as a bowl of pasta. I can enjoy my favorite foods without feeling like I ruined everything. I am confident in my ability to make choices that support my goals while still living my life. I no longer obsess about dieting. Instead, I have a balanced approach that feels sustainable and natural. That sense of freedom has made this journey enjoyable in a way I never expected.
